The Workshop Manager will serve as the core operational leader for the Brookhill Projects workshop, which supports our design and build operations. This role involves direct oversight and management of all production activities, including carpentry, joinery, welding, aluminium, metal fabrication, and concrete block production. We’re looking for a hands-on professional with strong technical skills in at least one of these areas and proven ability to supervise and coordinate all workshop activities and staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrable workshop management experience, preferably in a demanding design & build, construction, or high-volume wood manufacturing setup.
  • Proven, hands-on experience in any of the core workshop trades- carpentry/joinery, aluminium fabrication, or welding/steelworks, with the ability to oversee quality and workflow across all.
  • A background in a relevant technical discipline such as Carpentry/joinery, Welding, Aluminium Fabrication, Construction Management, or a related trade certification, demonstrating both practical and managerial competence.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proactive and effective in resolving technical challenges, production bottlenecks, and quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
