About the Role
The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB) is seeking to recruit a Tutorial Fellow in Clinical Medicine. This is an academic position within the Faculty of Health Sciences, contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals. The role involves teaching, research, and service to the university and the wider community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions in Clinical Medicine to undergraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects and clinical rotations.
- Develop and update course materials.
- Participate in departmental meetings and university committees.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication.
- Provide clinical mentorship and guidance to students.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Master’s Degree in Clinical Medicine or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine from an accredited/recognized university.
- A minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ or its equivalent.
- A valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya.
- At least three (3) years of teaching and/or research experience at university level as a Tutorial Fellow or Research Fellow.
- Clinical experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern teaching methods, including the use of technology and simulation tools in clinical education.

- Valid registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
- Teaching experience in a tertiary institution is an added advantage.
