Responsibilities or duties
Sales Generation & Prospecting
- Proactively identify and reach out to potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking events.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads, nurturing relationships, and guiding prospects through the sales process from initial contact to conversion.
- Conduct thorough research to identify target markets, industry trends, and competitor offerings, leveraging insights to refine sales strategies and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Tailor product recommendations and present compelling solutions that align with customers' interests, preferences, and budgetary considerations, effectively addressing objections and overcoming barriers to purchase.
- Actively promote and sell travel packages, flights, and special offers.
Customer Relationships and Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both flight and holiday package customers, serving as their trusted advisor for all travel needs.
- Proactively engage with clients to anticipate evolving preferences, identifying cross-selling (flights to holidays, holidays to flights) and upselling opportunities such as upgrades, add-ons, or premium services.
- Advise clients on travel requirements (visas, passports, insurance, health protocols) and provide timely updates on changes affecting both air travel and holiday destinations.
- Manage bookings end-to-end, liaising with airlines, hotels, resorts, and tour operators to ensure accurate itineraries, routing, and schedules.
- Provide seamless support for reservations, check-ins, payments, and post-booking assistance for both flights and packages.
- Draft Quotations and ensure timely, accurate billing for individual, group, and corporate travel (covering both ticketing and holiday packages).
Operational & Business Support
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure preferred rates and added value for both flights and holiday packages.
- Curate and design holiday packages (local and international) tailored to market demand, customer preferences, and seasonal opportunities.
- Upload, update, and maintain holiday packages and flight deals on the Ticketsasa website to ensure accurate, timely, and attractive offerings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute compelling promotions for both air tickets and holiday packages
- Actively seek and utilize client feedback to enhance package content, pricing, and overall service delivery.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Must Have Job Requirements:
- At least 3 years proven working experience as a tours and travel consultant
- Degree in hospitality, travel, tourism or related field and must have an IATA diploma
- Experience with Sales, CRM, and Travelport (Gallileo)
- Proven track record in sales generation (flights and packages).
