Trainee Planter Program - Tea Factory Operations & Manufacturing

Role Summary: Focused on the post-harvest processing of tea leaves into finished black tea. The trainee learns the mechanics and chemistry of withering, rolling, fermentation (oxidation), drying, and sorting/grading.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Management: Supervise shift operations to ensure the factory processes leaf within 24 hours of harvesting.

Quality Assurance: Monitor the physical and chemical properties of the leaf at each stage (e.g., TDS, moisture content) to maintain brand quality standards.

Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with engineers to ensure all machinery (rollers, fermenting troughs, dryers, CTC machines) is operating efficiently.

Stock Control: Manage the inventory of packing materials and finished goods dispatch.

Health & Safety: Enforce strict hygiene and safety protocols within the factory environment.
