Description
We are seeking a meticulous, organized, and reliable Store Keeper to manage our inventory and storage facilities. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our bar, kitchen, and service teams have immediate access to the premium supplies they need to deliver exceptional experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries of beverages, food items, and operational supplies against purchase orders and invoices.
- Accurately record, label, and store all items in designated locations, following strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and well-organized storage area (dry store, cold rooms, etc.) at all times.
- Issue stock to the bar, kitchen, and floor teams based on authorized requisitions, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Conduct regular and systematic physical inventory counts and reconcile them with digital stock records to prevent discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels proactively and generate timely reports for the Procurement Officer or Manager to facilitate reordering and prevent shortages.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in all storage areas.
- Assist in periodic stock-taking and audits.
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or quality issues with stock immediately to the relevant manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Store Assistant, or in a similar inventory management role. Experience within the hospitality, restaurant, or bar industry is a significant advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong numerical and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle goods, including lifting and moving stock as required.
- Integrity and reliability in handling valuable inventory.
- Knowledge of hospitality-specific stock (wines, spirits, perishables) is a plus.
