Background
Prior to 1974, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation was a department in the Ministry of Agriculture. After this year, the Ministry was constituted and remained thus till 1992 when it Was merged with other departments to form the Ministry of Land Reclamation and Regional Development. After 1998, the Ministry was merged to form the Ministry of Water Resources.
Job Description
The Senior Principal Lecturer I, KEWI 3 reports to the Senior Deputy Director, Academic Affairs KEWI 2.
Job Specifications
For appointment to the grade, an officer must have: -
Served for a cumulative period of twelve (12) years relevant work experience three position; (3) of which must have been in the grade of Principal Lecturer or in a comparable;
Bachelor's degree in Water/Civil/Irrigation Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University;
Master's degree in a relevant lecturing field in any of the following disciplines: Water/Civil/Irrigation Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University;
Certificate in Training of Trainers (TOT) course lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized Institution;
Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing where applicable;
Leadership course certificate lasting not less than four (4) Weeks from a recognized Institution;
A valid practicing certificate where applicable;
Proficiency in computer applications; and
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Experience in Months: 144
Level of Education: postgraduate degree
