Job Description
The Senior Hospitality Officer, KEWI 6 reports to the Principal Hospitality Officer KEWI 5.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -
- Providing quality catering, housekeeping, accommodation and conferencing services at the school;
- Updating records and inventory of housekeeping and catering facilities and equipment;
- Taking stock of housekeeping and catering commodities, materials and stuff;
- Monitoring compliance to health, safety and environmental regulations in the provision of hospitality services;
- Conducting customer satisfaction surveys;
- Preparing duty roster for junior staff;
- Preparing hospitality service work plans; and
- Supervising staff.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -
- Served for a cumulative period of six (6) years relevant work experience, three (3) in the grade of Hospitality Officer I or in a comparable position;
- Bachelor's degree in either Hotel and Catering Management or Hotel and Hospitality Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution;
- Certificate of medical examination in line with the Food, Drugs and Chemical Substance Act;
- Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing where applicable;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
