Description

Debroso construction company Limited is a company incorporated in kenya. It deals with road construction, building works and water works. We are looking for suitable and self-motivated individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision: Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring designs are correctly implemented.
  • Contract Administration: Manage project progress, resolve contractual issues, and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Budget & Schedule: Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Interim Payment Certificates: Prepare monthly statements and IPCs and VoPs.
  • Claims: preparation of contractual claims as stipulated in FIDIC.
  • Reporting: Produce regular progress reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for senior management.
  • Tenders: Must be able to prepare responsive tender documents.
  • Design Review: Review and interpret preliminary and detailed engineering road and structure designs.
  • Site Investigations: Conduct surveys and site investigations to gather field data for design and construction.
  • Material Testing: Oversee and supervise materials testing to ensure quality and suitability for construction.
  • Quality Assurance/Control: Implement and enforce Quality Management Systems (QMS), conducting QA/QC checks on all project aspects.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate activities of design and construction teams, including multi-disciplinary inputs.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with the client, attending meetings and ensuring smooth project flow and communication.
  • Problem Solving: Address complex technical and logistical problems that arise on-site, such as supply chain delays or regulatory compliance.
  • Safety Oversight: Ensure health and safety measures are strictly observed on-site and potential risks are mitigated.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all construction activities comply with relevant Kenyan government regulations.
  • Data Analysis: Participate in traffic surveys and collect relevant economic, environmental, and social data for road projects.
  • Road Inventory: Assist in conducting road inventory and condition surveys.

Education

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Must be registered with the Engineers’ Board of Kenya as a Professional Engineer.
  • Must have a valid current annual practicing licence.
  • Having completed a course of instruction in Performance Based Road Maintenance Contract (PBC) as a contractor is an added advantage.

More Details on Experience

  • Must have 10 years general Experience and 5 years Specific in road construction (having worked with a contractor will be an added advantage).
