SALES TEAM LEADER - FMCG

We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Team Leader to coordinate FMCG sales, supervise field teams, and manage Key Accounts at Headquarters level across Thika. You’ll drive revenue growth, ensure market coverage, and maintain strong relationships with key retail/wholesale partners.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and monitor FMCG sales activities across assigned territories to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Lead, train, mentor and appraise a team of sales reps/field staff. Assign routes, set KPIs, and ensure accountability
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with HQ-level key accounts. Negotiate terms, resolve issues, and grow volumes with major customers
  • Track competitor activity, pricing, promotions and market trends. Report insights to management for decision-making
  • Prepare accurate daily/weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews
  • Ensure team adheres to company SOPs, merchandising standards, and customer service policies

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in FMCG sales coordination
  • Proven track record in team supervision and sales force management
  • Demonstrable Key Account Management experience at Headquarters level
  • Strong knowledge of Bomet, Thika, and Machakos markets is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, with ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools
