Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of 2–4 Sales Representatives to exceed targets
  • Run regular sales huddles, pipeline reviews, and field coaching sessions
  • Implement incentive structures and performance improvement plans to drive accountability

New Business Development

  • Drive acquisition of new B2B & B2C clients, focusing on high volume shippers (SMEs, ecommerce, manufacturers, wholesalers)
  • Personally lead negotiations for key corporate and strategic accounts
  • Develop territory plans to maximize coverage across Nairobi and surrounding areas

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Maintain deep knowledge of Kenya’s courier and logistics landscape
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and service offerings (lastmile, sameday, freight)
  • Share regular insights with Operations and Pricing teams on market trends and customer needs

Pricing & Commercial Strategy

  • Collaborate with Operations to develop competitive, customized proposals
  • Apply strong understanding of cost drivers (fuel, delivery zones, weight brackets) to ensure profitable pricing

Customer Experience & Retention

  • Ensure high service standards postsale to minimize churn
  • Act as escalation point for key client issues, working closely with Operations for swift resolution

Key Requirements

  • 4–6 years’ experience in logistics/courier/freight sales (Kenyan market)
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Proven success in acquiring new business and closing high value deals
  • Strong understanding of logistics pricing models (volumetric weight, surcharges, last mile costs)
