Equity Afia is hiring a Resident Medical Officer/Clinic Lead to manage clinic operations, provide patient care, and supervise medical staff.
Responsibilities or duties
Manage clinic operations, provide patient care, and supervise medical staff.
Qualifications or requirementsÂ
- Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized university (MBChB or MBBS)
- Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
- Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
- Interest in leading a medical team, managing staff, and overseeing clinical operations.
- Project management and report writing skills.
- Leadership experience, financial knowledge, e.g., budgeting, cost management, basic accounting. Knowledge of the laws of Kenya regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
Experience needed
At least one (1) year post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
