JOB DETAILS:

Requirements for Appointment

Be a Kenyan citizen

Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution

Registered by the Clinical Officers’ Council

Valid Practicing License from the Clinical Officers’ Council

Computer literate

Duties and Responsibilities

Taking history, examining, diagnosing and treating common ailments in outpatient or inpatient settings

Guiding and counseling patients, clients and staff

Referring patients and clients appropriately

Assessing, preparing and presenting medical-legal reports

Coaching and mentoring students on attachment

Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skills

Organizing health management teams and convening health management committee meetings

Collecting and compiling data for research on clinical services

Any other duty assigned by the supervisor

Integrity Clearance

Successful applicants must obtain clearance from:

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)

Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)

Commission for University Education (CUE) – for applicants with foreign degrees

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: professional certificate
