Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council (COC) with a valid 2026 practicing license.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduation clinical experience.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Essential Competencies
- Excellent patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills.
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting Point-of-Care Tests (POCT/RDTs).
- Sound knowledge of emergency stabilization and triage.
- Ability to manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Competence in minor surgical procedures (suturing, incision & drainage, wound management, etc.).
- Safe prescribing practices and rational use of medicines.
- Good understanding of infection prevention and control (IPC) principles.
- Excellent documentation and medical record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication, counseling, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and compassion.
- Computer literacy and experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) will be an added advantage.
