Job Overview

To ensure that all paving blocks and cabro products are manufactured, cured, and stored according to approved structural, dimensional, and aesthetic specifications before installation thus reducing reworks while ensuring compliance to quality control standards and continuous improvement systems.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures for raw materials, production processes, and finished cabro products.
  • Test and verify the quality of aggregates, cement, water, and raw materials before production.
  • Monitor daily production to ensure consistency in size, strength, color, and end-products.
  • Conduct and supervise tests (e.g., compressive strength, water absorption, curing quality) to ensure right products.
  • Conduct cube/block compressive strength tests, water absorption tests, and density tests on cured blocks.
  • Inspect incoming materials such as cement, sand, and aggregates.
  • Identify defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify and isolate defective or broken blocks, managing the non-conformance reports.
  • Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local standards and safety regulations.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Handle customer complaints related to product quality and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve processes.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in concrete, construction materials, or manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment for compressive strength, moisture content, and material density testing.
  • Knowledge of concrete mix design and testing methods.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and inspection procedures.
