Background

Our client living in the scenic Chyulu Hills are seeking an experienced, warm, and creative Montessori-trained Teacher (Early Years) to support the learning and development of two young girls (3 years old). The ideal candidate will bring structure, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach to daily learning, ensuring the children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive environment. The role comes with accommodation, meals, and transport included.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver daily learning activities aligned with Montessori and EYFS principles, integrating individualized lesson plans tailored to each child’s developmental needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, confidence, positive behaviour, and social-emotional development.
  • Incorporate outdoor, nature-based, and hands-on learning experiences to encourage exploration, literacy, numeracy, arts, music, storytelling, and creative expression.
  • Monitor, assess, and track each child’s progress, providing regular updates and feedback to parents.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing learning space, including managing resources and materials effectively.
  • Communicate and collaborate professionally with parents, participating in planning and review sessions to align learning goals, expectations, and family priorities.

Key Qualifications

  • Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Education.
  • Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required).
  • First Aid and Child Safeguarding certification (added advantage).
  • Comfortable living and working in a remote location with wildlife.
  • Culturally sensitive and respectful of family values and lifestyle.
  • Great communication skills, particularly when engaging with parents.
  • Creative and adaptable, able to integrate the natural environment into daily lessons.
