JOB TITLE: POWER PLANT INCHARGE
Experience: 12–15 years
Qualification: Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering
Desired Experience: Operation and Maintenance of HFO based generators
Location: Berbera, Somaliland

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment (generators, heavy oil handling system, electrical installation).
  • Planning of preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Ensuring maximum availability of the equipment.
  • Maintaining lubrication schedule.
  • Maintaining essential spares.
  • To train subordinate to ensure that maintenance is done timely and correctly.
  • To ensure proper housekeeping of job areas and plant in general.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in electrical engineering.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a power plant operation & maintenance in charge or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of power generation equipment.
  • Familiarity with CAD and other design software.
  • Creative thinking and innovation.
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
