Responsibilities or duties

To assess, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments, movement dysfunctions, and musculoskeletal or neurological conditions through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, with the goal of restoring function, reducing pain, preventing disability, and improving patients' overall quality of life.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Valid license from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya

Experience needed

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Any other provided details 

Excellent clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Assess patients to diagnose physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer physical therapy interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, and functional training.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and preventing further injuries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with professional standards.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on patient outcomes, workload, and departmental activities.
  • Ensure physiotherapy equipment is well-maintained and used appropriately.
  • Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards in patient care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, continuous medical education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Refer patients to other specialists when necessary.
  • Participate in wellness programs and community outreach activities to promote physical health and injury prevention.
