Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain investigational products accountability and inventory information and ensure proper storage practices;
  • Participate in randomization, safeguard randomization and IP blinding/masking information;
  • Reconcile records and handle study product in adherence to study protocol and SOPs;
  • Prepare, review and enforce SOPs, policies and standards;
  • Participate and support in trial monitoring and quality audits;
  • Raise requisitions for purchase of medicines, medical equipment and surgical disposables;
  • Monitor drug stock levels and prevent against pilferage, deterioration and advise on commercial availability and stock status;
  • Inspect and monitor supplies compliance to specifications and standards;
  • Train and supervise students and dispensing clerks on pharmacy and clinical trial procedures;
  • Compound medicines according to SOPs;
  • Review and sign off pharmacy reports, records, logs, registers and other records;
  • Dispense prescription medicines to out-patient and ward-based clients as prescribed;
  • Operate, calibrate and monitor performance of pharmacy equipment and resolve repair issues; and Represent pharmacy at multi-disciplinary meetings and study trial trainings

Vacancy Requirements:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized college.    Mandatory
  • Minimum Two (2) years relevant experience    Mandatory
  • Pharmaceutical Technologist Certificate and Annual Practice Certificate from the Pharmacy and Poison Board    Mandatory
  • Demonstrated high levels of integrity and confidentiality    Mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills    Mandatory
  • Ability to work with diverse, multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with internal and external collaborators    Mandatory
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to deliver quality outputs within strict timelines.    Mandatory
  • Strong team management and decision-making skills    Mandatory
