JOB PURPOSE
Our client, a leading company in the petroleum, oil, and gas sector, is seeking Petrol Station Card Handlers to manage and oversee fuel card transactions at their stations. This role is key to ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient handling of fuel cards, supporting smooth station operations and excellent customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support for fuel card and payment systems at station level
- Monitor system transactions and support reconciliation and reporting
- Troubleshoot card system, POS, and connectivity issues
- Support system testing, updates, and data validation processes
- Train station staff on card systems, digital tools, and data accuracy
- Maintain system documentation and escalate technical issues appropriately
- Support data analysis to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 6 months’ relevant experience in IT support, digital payments, POS systems, or data analysis
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic data analysis tools
- Knowledge of CRM systems and electronic payment platforms
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain card processes, system usage, and policies to non-technical users.
- Proven ability to identify issues in transactions or systems, investigate root causes, and implement timely, accurate solutions.
- Demonstrated discipline in following card system procedures, KYC requirements, and internal controls to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Strong capability to engage customers professionally, resolve card-related issues, and maintain positive working relationships with station teams and head office.
- Ability to interpret transaction data, identify discrepancies, and prepare accurate operational and business reports to support decision-making.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- KES 45,000 gross salary
