Background

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), the reference multimodal logistics operator in Africa, is part of the MSC family. AGL relies on its 250 subsidiaries in Africa, Haiti, Timor and Indonesia to provide port, ocean, logistics and railway solutions.

Responsibilities

Ensure all the necessary documents required to make entries are in order before working on an entry.

Ensure IDF applications are done within the timelines set in customer SOP

Perform accurate and timely declarations upon receipt of all clearing documents from clients.

Ensure using correct details, capturing weights and packages contained therein, apply correct CPC, TI and UCR.

Monitoring lodged entries / clearance process and taking necessary actions as required to ensure release of shipments.

Ensure to meet timelines as per the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) given for all clearances.

Proactively anticipate any declaration queries and problems and address immediately and follow up with customs where necessary to resolve

Monitor Bond in Force for moving bonded goods to the warehouse and subsequent renewal of the bond validity.

Update daily status reports and Tracker to ensure correct information to internal / external customers.

Qualifications

Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding.

EACCFFPC certificate or equivalent.

Knowledge of SIMBA/TRADEX/ICMS/Kentrade.

Experience

3 Years' experience.
