Background
Are you a senior nursing educator with experience in NCK accreditation and nursing college leadership?
We are recruiting a Nursing College Principal (Setup & Accreditation Lead) to spearhead the establishment and accreditation of a new Nursing Training College in Nairobi.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced nursing professional who can lead the institutional setup, regulatory accreditation, and academic leadership of the college.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the accreditation process with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) and TVETA
- Coordinate inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
- Oversee the setup of classrooms, skills laboratories, and training facilities
- Develop and submit the nursing curriculum for approval
- Establish clinical placement partnerships with hospitals
- Support recruitment of qualified nursing tutors and clinical instructors
- Transition into the role of College Principal, overseeing academic and administrative operations
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Registered Nurse with valid NCK practicing license
- Diploma in Medical or Technical Education
- 5–7 years experience in nursing education
- At least 2 years in a senior academic leadership role
- Experience with NCK accreditation processes is highly desirable
