The employee shall be responsible to the immediate supervisor/ HOD for implementation of medical officer services in the Hospital.Leadership: O versee and offer leadership to Clinical officers assigned to you from day to day
What You Will Do
Professionally, humbly and cordially listen to stranded clients and offer assistance where necessary or personally escort client to the relevant office for assistance
Promptly prepare referral forms for clients for services not available after consultations with the hospital manager.
Promptly prepare to receive and review all referrals and inform all relevant departments as required.
Promptly respond to emergency calls for outpatient, inpatient and observation patients at the request of medical, clinical or nursing staff or any other staff as required.
Ensure departmental emergency care preparedness according to departments assigned
Maintain and oversee proper medical record with respect to all patients examined or treated in accordance with all legal, accreditation, regulatory and third party payer requirements.
Promptly clerk (including past medical history), investigate and diagnose clients according to standard evidence based management and avail the same in the patient file prior to admission or release of an outpatient client. Investigations done prior to visiting the facility MUST be copied and inserted in the file and or uploaded to the HMIS.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB/MBChB) degree from a recognized university.
Registration/License: Active registration and a valid practicing license from the relevant national medical board ( KMPDC).
Certification: Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required or preferred.
Skills: Strong diagnostic, communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills
