About the role

The Lead Data Management will be responsible for overseeing and implementing data management strategies and policies within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of data governance, data quality, data security, and data lifecycle management. The successful candidate will lead a team of data professionals to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data assets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
• Oversee data quality initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
• Ensure the security and privacy of data assets in accordance with relevant regulations and policies.
• Manage the data lifecycle, including data creation, storage, usage, archiving, and deletion.
• Lead and mentor a team of data management professionals.
• Collaborate with IT, business units, and other stakeholders to align data management practices with organizational goals.
• Monitor and report on data management performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in data management, data governance, and data quality.
• Strong understanding of data security principles and regulations.
• Experience with data management tools and technologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
