Our client is seeking an Inventory In-Charge responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficient management of inventory across all warehouses and outlets. The role oversees inventory control, warehouse operations, stock movements, and supplier coordination to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize losses, and support business operations. The incumbent ensures compliance with inventory procedures, accurate system records, and effective coordination with procurement, logistics, sales, accounts, and audit teams.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Accuracy
- Ensure accurate stock master data, purchase order processing, item coding, valuation, and timely updating of inventory transactions in the ERP system.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations, investigate inventory variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock validation reports, and manual bin cards.
Warehouse & Stock Management
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper stock organization, cleanliness, and efficient storage practices.
- Implement and enforce FIFO and FEFO inventory management principles to minimize expiries and inventory losses.
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, damaged, and expiring stock, recommending transfers or disposal where appropriate.
Dispatch & Receiving Operations
- Supervise the receipt of goods by verifying deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and statutory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of customer orders and inter-branch transfers with complete supporting documentation.
- Maintain delivery records and monitor order fulfillment to support operational efficiency.
Inventory Planning & Supplier Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels, analyze stock consumption trends, and recommend timely replenishment to prevent stock shortages.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure efficient stock replenishment and order tracking.
- Prepare regular inventory reports, including stock status, reorder recommendations, and inventory performance.
Compliance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Support stock audits, inventory valuation, and compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation and provide inventory movement reports for management and auditors.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory controls, warehouse processes, and overall inventory management efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in inventory, warehouse, or stock management in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using ERP systems and barcode-based inventory management systems.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, including FIFO, FEFO, stock reconciliation, and inventory valuation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), Word, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across procurement, logistics, finance, sales, and warehouse teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability.
