JOB DETAILS:

Embu Water and Sanitation Company Limited (EWASCO) is a private water utility company fully owned by the County Government of Embu, mandated to provide water and sanitation services within Embu County.

The company runs an Internship Program designed to develop a pool of young talents exposed to water service provision operations. The internship duration is one (1) year, after which participants are released to explore opportunities in the job market.

Internship Objective

The EWASCO Internship Program aims to develop and prepare young talents to take up employment opportunities within Water Utilities in Kenya.

Participants will gain:

• Practical workplace experience
• Broadened knowledge
• Refined career goals
• Professional networks and mentorship

Basic Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a Kenyan youth aged between 20 and 35 years
• Must have graduated from a recognized university
• A recommendation/reference letter from the learning institution will be an added advantage
• Should not have previously undertaken any internship or gained work experience related to their field of study

3 Administrative Assistant II EWASCO/HR/CORP/4/2025-2026 • Certificate in Secretarial Studies (Stage II), Public Relations, Communication, Business-related course, or equivalent from a recognized institution

4 Water Operator I EWASCO/HR/TECH/7/2025-2026 • Diploma in Water Engineering (Water Supply) or equivalent from a recognized institution

Personal Attributes

Applicants should:

• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Be goal-oriented, dynamic, passionate, and self-motivated
• Be a team player with good problem-solving skills
• Uphold integrity and professionalism

• EWASCO will not offer employment after the internship program.
• Successful candidates must complete the twelve (12) months without a break.
