Rose of Sharon Academy is hiring an IB Programme Coordinator skilled in IB curriculum management, teacher mentorship, academic leadership, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities or duties
- Drive the school’s final stage of the IBDP authorization and evaluation journey
- Lead the implementation and ongoing coordination of RSA’s IBDP programme
- Build a culture of inquiry, international-mindedness, and continuous improvement across the school.
- Serve as the primary liaison between RSA and the International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Lead professional learning and instructional coaching to strengthen IB teaching and learning.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Diploma Programme, including assessment, the DP Core (TOK, EE and CAS), and examination administration.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- A qualified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject
- Minimum 8 years of classroom teaching in an international or high-performing curriculum setting
- Experience leading or supporting an IB candidacy, authorization, programme evaluation or verification process will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum three years’ successful teaching experience within the IB Diploma Programme.
- Official IB professional development: Category 2 required 2; Category 3 will be an added advantage
- Demonstrated understanding of the IB Standards and Practices and current developments in IB education.
- Previous experience coordinating an IB programme or demonstrating academic leadership within an IB World School will be an added advantage
- Proficiency in IBIS and ManageBac or equivalent IB platforms preferred
