Responsibilities or duties

Maintaining an observatory on national, regional and international developments that impact on industry.

Assist in data collection and analysis for selected value chains (e.g., tomatoes, avocados).

Support the development of farmer extension programs on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).

Contribute to market research on demand-supply dynamics, export opportunities, and import substitution.

Help draft reports, case studies, and policy briefs for advocacy and stakeholder engagement.

Participate in field visits and stakeholder meetings with farmers, aggregators, processors, and county governments.

Support the monitoring and evaluation of A4I interventions and impact metrics.

Write both weekly, monthly and quarterly A4I reports

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Recent graduate or final-year student in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

Personal attributes and skills:

Strong interest in agricultural development, value chains, and market systems.

Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Knowledge of Kenya’s agricultural sector is an advantage

Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)

Hands-on experience in a leading industry-led agricultural development program.

Exposure to high-level stakeholders from government, private sector, and development partners.

Mentorship from KAM’s Agility Team and A4I Board Committee.
