Responsibilities
Heavy Lift Technical Execution
- Lead the setup, configuration, and operation of Nicolas hydraulic platform trailers for heavy and abnormal load transport.
- Execute jacking and skidding operations in accordance with approved lift and transport plans.
- Configure multi-axle modular trailer combinations based on load distribution, axle loads, route constraints, and engineering specifications.
- Oversee load stability and security to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Technical Planning & Load Engineering
- Interpret method statements, engineering drawings, and load calculations to support execution.
- Supervises staging and securing of cargo on beams, stools, saddles, and engineered supports.
- Coordinate modular movements including steering synchronization and hydraulic leveling.
- Participate in route surveys and feasibility assessments for abnormal load movements.
Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic platform trailers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, steering, and suspension systems under operational conditions.
- Ensure equipment readiness prior to deployment and verify technical integrity throughout project lifecycle.
- Monitor axle load distribution and hydraulic pressure performance during operations.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to QHSE standards during all heavy lift activities.
- Enforce safe working practices during modular moves and cargo staging.
- Support compliance with transport regulations and abnormal load permitting requirements.
Operational Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers, rigging crews, transport coordinators, and workshop teams.
- Provide technical guidance to operators and crew members during complex operations.
- Act as on-site technical authority for hydraulic trailer deployment.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Heavy Lift and Project Cargo Operations.
- Minimum 7–10 years' hands-on experience in heavy lift and abnormal load operations.
- Demonstrated expertise working with Nicolas hydraulic platform trailer systems (mandatory).
- Proven experience in jacking, skidding, modular load movement, and heavy cargo staging.
- Strong understanding of load distribution, axle weight calculation, and hydraulic leveling systems.
- Experience operating in complex project environments including oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
