Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Capital.com tailored to the Kenyan market and to approach each client segment properly.
  • Identify and prioritize the market based on commercial potential, regulatory environment, and cultural nuances.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align regional goals with global objectives.
  • Team Management
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear KPIs and performance targets; conduct regular reviews and development plans.
  • Monitor the daily sales operations closely and provide guidance and practical advice to the sales team in order to enhance their performance.
  • Promote a results-driven culture with a focus on client-centric service.
  • Business Development
  • Drive acquisition of new clients and partners within the market, including retail clients, IBs, and institutional partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, client behaviors, and competitor activities to inform sales tactics.
  • Develop and expand local partnerships, affiliates, and business introducers.
  • Client Engagement
  • Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and partners in the market.
  • Ensure superior service delivery, retention, and client satisfaction.
  • Organize and represent the company in industry events, trade shows, and roadshows.
  • Compliance & Localization
  • Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with relevant regulatory frameworks and cultural expectations in the jurisdiction.
  • Provide regional insight to ensure campaigns, content, and offerings are culturally and linguistically localized.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with CEO, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Operations teams to align regional initiatives.
  • Provide feedback to enhance product offerings and ensure Сapital.com’s competitive advantage in the market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience in the financial services industry, ideally in retail brokerage space, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, marketing or related field.
  • Holder of Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) certificate.
  • Proven track record of sales success and business expansion in Kenya and the Region.
  • Strong understanding of the country’s economic landscape, cultural diversity, and regulatory requirement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Language skillset - native/fluent English, native/fluent Kiswahili.
