Maxwell Marshall is partnering with a leading African Fintech company to recruit an experienced Head of People to drive human resources strategy and organization growth.

Role Overview & Scope

The Head of People will lead the overarching HR strategy, talent management, culture, and organizational design for a fast-scaling African fintech company. This role is responsible for building, scaling, and empowering high-performing teams across regional hubs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Oversee the global/regional people strategy, aligning organizational culture and human resources with business growth goals.
  • Team Scaling & Talent Acquisition: Design and execute strategies to recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier technology and business talent across multiple regions.
  • Performance & Culture Development: Cultivate a high-performing work culture, performance management framework, and employee engagement programs.
  • Cross-Border Operations: Manage HR policies, compliance, and people operations across key African and international business hubs.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of proven HR leadership experience, preferably within fast-growing tech, fintech, or corporate sectors.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and managing high-performing teams in regional or multi-country environments.
  • Core Competencies: Executive communication, strategic workforce planning, cross-cultural leadership, and change management skills.
