JOB DETAILS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
8+ years total clinical nursing experience
3+ years in a senior covering / acting matron or equivalent role
Valid Nursing Council license required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume full Matron-level authority over the hospital during off-hours
Lead and supervise nursing staff across all wards and departments
Oversee patient safety, ward rounds, and clinical decision-making
Manage emergencies, incidents, and escalation protocols
Liaise with on-call doctors, department heads, and senior management
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and handover documentation
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: bachelor degree
