Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor gender responsive policies, action plans and strategies within the county
- Ensure the participation of marginalised groups such as youth, people with disability across the county.
- Collecting data on Gender mainstreaming, socio-economic empowerment, Female Genital Mutilation and Sexual and Gender Based Violence programmes and projects;
- Handling logistics relating to administration of training programmes on gender mainstreaming, social economic empowerment, Female Genital Mutilation and Sexual and Gender Based Violence; and
- Coordinate and support Gender Based Violence prevention programmes including establishing protection mechanisms and awareness campaigns.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Gender Studies, Gender and Development, Sociology, Anthropology, Counselling and Psychology or any other relevant Social Science from a recognised institution; and
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
