- Conduct and document daily pre-operation equipment inspections (tyres, hydraulics, brakes, forks); report mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance team to reduce downtime.
- Maintain safe distances and right-of-way around pedestrians, stacks and other equipment; strictly observe traffic marshalling instructions and site speed/height limits at all times.
- Achieve throughput targets while maintaining stacking standards, correct pallet configuration and housekeeping.
- Keep accurate logs of materials moved, assist with inventory/stock counts, and complete tally sheets, delivery receipts and handover documentation as required.
- Assist with general warehouse tasks such as sorting, packing, and supporting other handlers during peak vessel discharge or high-season operations.
- Park, secure and, where applicable, recharge/refuel equipment correctly at end of shift; keep the forklift/wheel loader clean and report early signs of mechanical wear.
