About the Role

Our client is a leading hospitality training institution in Limuru. They are seeking to hire a qualified and experienced Food and Beverage Trainer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to students in the food and beverage sector, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for successful careers in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging training programs for food and beverage operations, including service standards, menu knowledge, beverage preparation, and customer service.
• Conduct practical training sessions in a simulated or actual food and beverage environment.
• Assess student performance through practical demonstrations, written tests, and observation.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to enhance their learning and development.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in the food and beverage sector.
• Maintain training records and prepare reports on student progress and program effectiveness.
• Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment in the training kitchen and service areas.
• Collaborate with other trainers and staff to ensure a cohesive training experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, or a related field.
• A teaching or training qualification is an added advantage.
• Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Trainer or in a similar training role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, service standards, and culinary techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively train and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using training materials and equipment.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with at least 1 year in a training or supervisory role.
