Responsibilities or duties

The consultant is expected to provide high-quality facilitation of the PCNM. Specifically, he/she will

  • Participate in planning meetings to finalize the meeting agenda, activities, and logistics prior to the PCNM.
  • Conduct a pre-network participants survey to inform the agenda of the retreat.
  • Prepare a facilitation plan for the PCNM, as per the prescribed agenda.
  • As part of the facilitation plan, develop and introduce and close out the meeting days and individual sessions. Conduct pre-meeting with facilitators, where required.
  • Ensure the meeting sessions flow and stay within their prescribed time.
  • Facilitate plenary discussions, panels, small group discussions, and other interactive activities during the sessions.
  • Lead on 1-2 selected thematic sessions around Future of Work and/or Change Management.
  • Involve virtual participants as appropriate in the sessions.
  • Develop and lead icebreakers, energizers, and other team-building activities.
  • Conduct a brief evaluation and prepare a short report documenting the evaluation results.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Minimum requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline, ideally in organizational development and/or communications
  • At least five (5) years’ work experience in facilitating and coordinating events, including regional meetings / workshops, preferably in areas relevant to People and Culture, Change Management.
  • Professional background in human resources management is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Full working knowledge of online and interactive meeting technology.
  • Previous working experience with UN and/or international organization desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish effective work relationships
  • Flexible and able to respond to and accommodate change easily.
  • Administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner
  • Experience of working independently and remotely.
