Background

Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is a consultancy services company incorporated under the laws of Kenya.

Responsibilities

  • Manage housekeeping staff schedules, shift rotas, and daily room assignments.
  • Set, monitor, and audit cleanliness standards across all hotel areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms, corridors, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Lead Floor Supervisors, Room Attendants, Public Area staff, and Laundry teams.
  • Partner with Front Office to track room status, VIP arrivals, and turnaround times
  • Oversee laundry production, linen stock control, replacement cycles, and inventory.
  • Manage departmental budgets, supply purchasing, and operational costs.
  • Enforce safety protocols, proper chemical handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff performance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to address room defects and maintenance tasks quickly.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Housekeeping Management, or a related field.

Experience

5+ years in housekeeping operations with a least 2 years in a leadership role

Skills

  • Proven experience in staff scheduling, room assignments, and quality inspections.
  • Strong expertise in laundry control, chemical safety, and inventory management.
  • Solid background in budgeting, cost control and cross-departmental teamwork.
