Background
Sahajan and Special Senior School in Mtwapa, Kilifi County is advertising for teaching vacancies for SNE trained and TSC registered teachers on BOM terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for learners with special educational needs.
- Teach assigned subjects according to the school curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods, learning materials, and assessments to meet individual learner needs.
- Support learners in developing academic, communication, social, and life skills.
- Assess learner progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide appropriate classroom support and maintain an inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with fellow teachers, parents, and school management to support learner development.
- Promote discipline, confidence, independence, and positive behaviour among learners.
- Participate in co-curricular activities and other school programmes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be TSC registered.
- Must have training in Special Needs Education (SNE).
- Relevant teaching qualification in the applicable subject areas.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to work patiently and effectively with learners with diverse educational needs.
- Passion for inclusive education and learner development.
- Commitment, professionalism, and good interpersonal skills.
