Maseno University is a university based in Maseno, near Kisumu, Kenya, founded in 1991. It is one of seven public universities in Kenya.
Responsibilities or duties
Serve as the principal technical advisor to the Director, eCampus; Oversee management and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital platforms; Provide expert management of Moodle’s architecture, Moodle plugins, backups, and Security; Supervise and coordinate the work of all technical staff at the eCampus; Lead innovation in digital infrastructure to support online teaching and learning; Ensure timely technical support to staff and students using eCampus services; and Prepare reports and strategic plans for technology deployment in line with University.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field; At least Five (5) years of relevant experience in ICT systems management, preferably in an Academic setting; Demonstrated expertise in managing online learning platforms and ICT teams; Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISCO, or equivalent) will be an added advantage; Proficiency in Moodle's architecture, PHP, HTML, CSS, and SQL, and practical; and Experience with Moodle plugins, backups, and security
Experience needed
At least Five (5) years of relevant experience in ICT systems management, preferably in an Academic setting.
