Background
The Public Service Commission is a constitutional commission mandated to establish and abolish offices in the public service, appoint persons to hold or act in public offices, promote values and principles of public service, and ensure efficient, effective, ethical, and citizen-centred service delivery across government institutions. The latest recruitment targets several institutions including public universities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Department for Correctional Services, the National Treasury and Economic Planning, and other government agencies.
Role Overview
The Deputy Vice Chancellor will provide leadership in administration, finance, strategic planning, and institutional resource management. The office supports the Vice Chancellor in coordinating university operations and ensuring efficient management of administrative and financial functions.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, financial planning, procurement coordination, infrastructure development, human resource administration, policy implementation, and organizational performance. The role also contributes to long-term institutional planning and ensures effective utilization of university resources to support academic excellence.
