Background
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 237 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. The Commission is mandated to manage human resource functions for teachers in public institutions across the country. Its responsibilities include recruitment, deployment, promotion, discipline, and professional development of teachers, as well as ensuring quality standards in the teaching profession.
Through its mandate, the Commission plays a vital role in strengthening Kenya’s education system by ensuring that the teaching workforce is effectively managed and supported. The Commission works to enhance professionalism within the education sector while promoting accountability, transparency, and equitable access to quality education.
In line with its mandate to strengthen leadership, management, and professional oversight within the teaching service, the Teachers Service Commission invites applications from qualified, result-oriented, and highly motivated Kenyan citizens to fill several vacant positions across various directorates and functional areas of the Commission.

Responsibilities
The Deputy Director – Internal Audit (Information Systems) oversees audits related to information systems, digital infrastructure, and technology governance within the Commission.
- Conducting information systems audits across the Commission
- Reviewing ICT systems to assess effectiveness of security and control mechanisms
- Evaluating data management practices and digital system integrity
- Supporting risk assessments related to technology systems
- Reviewing compliance with ICT governance frameworks and policies
- Preparing audit reports on information systems performance and compliance
- Supporting implementation of corrective actions following audit findings
- Monitoring technology risks within the Commission’s digital infrastructure
