Data & Analysis Intern – UN Annual Results Report and Horizon Scanning Deadline : Nov 3, 2025 Duties and Responsibilities In Indonesia, the United Nations (UN) has a long-standing partnership with the government, private sector, civil society, and youth to advance progress toward advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) acts as the central hub for various UN agencies, funds, and programs within the country. Led by the Resident Coordinator (RC), the highest-ranking UN official in the country, the RCO ensures that the UN's efforts are aligned with national priorities and the SDGs. The UNRCO has five core functions: 1. Strategic Planning 2. Economics 3. Partnerships and development finance 4. Data and results management and reporting, and 5. Communications and advocacy. At the core of the UN in Indonesia's work is the United Nations Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF)—the key strategic document guiding collaboration between the UN, the host government, and other partners. The Cooperation Framework outlines shared priorities and responsibilities, ensuring that the UN’s support complements national development plans and global goals. Two key analytical products underpin this work: the UN Country Annual Results Report and the Horizon Scanning. The Data & Analysis Intern will work closely with the Data Management Officer and Partnership Officer to assist in drafting and editing for horizon Scanning and the UN Annual Results Report, conducting data collection and analysis, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and producing visual and written materials that inform strategic planning and reporting. Specific tasks include: • Collaborate with the Data Management Officer to collect, validate, and analyze data from UN agencies and national sources for the Annual Results Report and Horizon Scanning. • Support the Partnership Officer in organizing stakeholder consultations, including those related to Disability Inclusion, and facilitating inter-agency coordination efforts. • Assist in drafting and editing documents such as Terms of Reference, concept notes, briefs, meeting minutes, and background papers. • Design and produce visual materials including infographics, PowerPoint presentations, and other deliverables for reporting and advocacy. • Maintain and update databases and contact lists related to results reporting, stakeholder engagement, and SDG progress. • Participate in on-site and online meetings with partners from various sectors and contribute to event planning and logistics for consultations and workshops. Qualifications/special skills Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D.
