Role Context
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coordinator to join our team. The Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and implementing our programs, ensuring they align with our mission and objectives. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of community land rights and climate justice issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the implementation of CIAN's programs.
- Ensure programs advance community land rights and strengthen land governance.
- Support and contribute to climate justice initiatives.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including community members, partners, and government agencies.
- Monitor program progress and report on outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of new program strategies and proposals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing programs related to community land rights, land governance, or climate justice.
- Proven track record of successful program management and implementation.
- Strong understanding of land rights issues and climate change challenges in Kenya.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A relevant degree in a related field is preferred.
