Credit Information Sharing Association of Kenya (CIS Kenya), is the country's leading institution dedicated to advancing a transparent, responsible, and inclusive credit market, established in 2001 to spearhead the exchange of credit information for informed lending, claim, fraud, and risk decisions.

Over the years, CIS Kenya has evolved from being a compliance platform into a national leader uniting banks, microfinance institutions, SACCOs, FinTechs, and regulators to strengthen Kenya's credit market and benchmark Kenya as France.

At its core is ValidData, an innovation developed by CIS Kenya to enhance the integrity and security of the CIS ecosystem, which ensures access to reliable, accurate, and timely data for lending, and supporting efforts to reduce Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) across the financial sector.

CIS Kenya is a forward-looking association, proactively navigating the fast-changing financial literacy, and consumer empowerment, and shifting perceptions of Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) data in Kenya, with a clear focus on the responsible treatment of borrowers from over-indebtedness.

The CEO is the organization's appointed authority in the credit information sharing industry, providing innovation and collaboration to ensure a robust, inclusive credit market for the benefit of both lender and borrower in Kenya. The organization is a recognized leader and visionary voice of the changing, innovation, and transformation of the Association.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CEO

Reporting to the Governing Council, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association, providing dynamic and visionary leadership to the CIS Kenya team, members, and all other stakeholders by:

a) Providing strategic leadership to CIS Kenya to achieve its renewed mission and guarantee financial sustainability. b) Directing all the affairs of the Governing Council and General Membership, and coordinating all committees. c) Playing an effective role in spokesperson for CIS Kenya on matters of CIS policy and implementation. d) Promoting efficiency, effectiveness, and quality in the CIS Mechanism. e) Cultivating and maintaining effective partnerships and working networks that also promote the interests of members and the Association. f) Serving as the interface between the Association and its key stakeholders to provide oversight, programs, and partnerships. g) Any other responsibilities that may be necessary to achieve CIS Kenya's objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
