About the Client & Role

A vibrant passenger transport organization, through TM Industrial Psychological Services, is seeking a dynamic executive leader for the position of Chief Executive Officer. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic and inspirational leadership to steer the company toward becoming the leading and preferred market-driven passenger transport operator in the region.

Reports To: Board of Directors

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide inspirational leadership and shape the vision, culture, and long-term direction of the company.
  • Business Planning & Policies: Develop policies and a robust short- and long-term strategic business plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Governance & Reporting: Oversee all business operations, reporting to stakeholders and the Board of Directors on operational and financial performance.
  • Team & Culture Building: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing executive and managerial team while fostering employee engagement.
  • Market & Industry Monitoring: Stay abreast of local, national, and global industry developments, trends, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Financial & Investment Decisions: Make high-quality investment decisions to drive growth and profitability, while reviewing financial and non-financial reports to improve performance.
  • Compliance & Legal: Enforce adherence to legal guidelines, regulatory frameworks, and in-house corporate governance policies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for key partners, government entities, shareholders, and the general public.
  • Social Responsibility & Performance Evaluation: Implement corporate social responsibility agendas and evaluate the performance of other executive leaders.

Qualifications & Person Specifications

  • Education: First degree in Business, Transport and Logistics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate Degree: A postgraduate degree from a reputable institution is an added advantage.
  • Experience: At least ten (10) years’ experience in a senior management position.
  • Executive Track Record: Proven track record as a CEO or in another senior executive role.
  • Key Skills: Entrepreneurial mindset, outstanding leadership skills, ability to build executive/workforce consensus, and in-depth knowledge of corporate governance best practices.
