Key Responsibilities

• Menu preparation Plan, prepare and cook a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation and quality.
• Kitchen management Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, stock ordering and minimizing wastage.
• Food safety & hygiene Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards in line with statutory regulations.
• Recipe development Create and refine authentic Chinese recipes, adapting to seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Team supervision Guide and supervise kitchen and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to set procedures.
• Quality control Monitor portioning, plating and presentation to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
• Equipment & workstation care Ensure proper use, cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and workstations.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine.
• Sound knowledge of authentic Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients and presentation styles.
• Strong organizational, time-management and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, reliability and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and occupational health regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
