Drafting, Modeling & Technical Delivery:
- Produce detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D BIM models for reinforced concrete (RC), structural steel, and civil works for high-rise towers, industrial warehouses, and residential complexes.
- Develop complex detailing including rebar detailing (RC), steel connections, and general arrangement drawings in compliance with design specifications.
- Ensure all drawings and models strictly adhere to the company’s CAD/BIM standards and international coding conventions (e.g., ISO 19650 basics).
- Transform conceptual sketches and engineering calculations into accurate, construction-ready documentation.
- Maintain and organize the project drawing library, ensuring version control and proper file management protocols are followed.
Coordination & Clash Detection:
- Utilize Navisworks to perform collision detection between structural elements and MEP/Architectural models; generate clash reports and resolve conflicts prior to site issuance.
- Liaise effectively with Architects, MEP technicians, and Engineers to ensure a seamless, integrated design delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of “As-Built” drawings and models based on site mark-ups and field changes.
Site Support & Quality Control:
- Review construction drawings for accuracy, feasibility, and constructability before final approval.
- Conduct periodic site visits to verify that construction works align with the issued structural details and models.
- Support the engineering team in quantity take-offs (BOQ support) extracted directly from BIM models.
Qualifications & Experience
Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a Diploma from a specialized technical institute is required.
- Experience: A minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of progressive experience in drafting and detailing for residential, industrial, and high-rise building projects.
- BIM Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in BIM modeling and coordination.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency is mandatory in AutoCAD, Revit (Structure), and Navisworks. Awareness of Civil 3D, CADS RC, or structural analysis software (e.g., Prota Structure) is a distinct advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methodologies reinforced concrete detailing rules (e.g., standard hooks, laps), and structural steel sections.
