Job Summary
The role holder will be responsible for the development, growth and management of insurance sales strategy through affinity channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute significantly to the development of the sales budget and marketing strategies for the affinity channel, ensuring strict alignment with overall corporate targets.
- Optimize the performance of affinity client accounts, scrutinizing profits, claim ratios, and adherence to service standards.
- Steer the strategic planning for Affinity channel expansion and growth, specifically encompassing product/program enhancements and the launch of new channels for business acquisition.
- Cultivate and nurture key relationships with affinity partners to maximize business return, profitability, and client retention.
- Lead and empower Affinity Channel Business Development Executives and Officers, ensuring they surpass established targets and operate within defined standards.
- Audit and enforce the implementation of sales strategies and policies to guarantee the timely and complete achievement of targets.
- Assist in handling compliance reporting issues to ensure that affinity channels are carried out in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Offer necessary support to Affinity channel sales team to ensure that they carry out their duties in line with set standards and procedures
- Participate in securing new business opportunities by identifying and pursuing potential affinity channels
- Set accurate and competitive quotations for insurance business and ensure they are delivered promptly to potential clients
- Ensure prompt follow-up on insurance renewals to ensure that the retention proportions are achieved in line with set standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field
- Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI or AIIK)
Experience
- At least 8 years’ experience in insurance two of which should be in a supervisory position with a focus on sales and distribution
- Experience in managing Affinity Channels
Competencies
- Sales and Marketing skills
- In depth understanding of insurance operations and concepts
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements
- Stakeholder management
- Insurance product knowledge
- Knowledge of Affinity channels operational processes and procedures
