Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Broadcast Engineer to join our Technical Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our broadcast infrastructure, supporting seamless television and radio production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast equipment and systems.
- Monitor and ensure optimal performance of studio, and production equipment
- Support live broadcasts, outside broadcasts and special productions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults promptly to ensure uninterrupted broadcasting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Broadcast Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of six (6) years' proven experience in broadcast engineering within a mainstream media organisation.
- Experience with digital broadcast technologies, automation systems, and audio/video routing.
- Familiarity with industrial power, RF systems, satellite communications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, Including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
