JOB DETAILS:

Background

Toleza Farm is a large agricultural Enteprises situated approximately 8kms North East from Balaka Township. The farm is looking for an Agronomist to lead its operations in the Agronomy Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day Agronomy activities, including general crop and land management.
• Developing and monitoring efficient irrigation plans and system performance.
• Supervise and train Agronomy staff.
• Produce and manage budgets for the department.
• Technical support and technical training on best practice.
• Adopt and implement modern sustainable agricultural practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Agriculture or any related field.
• Minimum of at least 5 years experience in a commercial farm environment.
• Practical Knowledge of irrigation
• Strong leadership and organisation skills
• Familiarity with modern farming equipment and technology
• Valid Motorcycle driving License.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 60

Level of Education: associate degree
