Job Summary

The Agriculture Teacher is responsible for delivering practical and theoretical instruction in Agriculture while promoting sustainable agricultural practices, environmental conservation, and experiential learning in accordance with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Agriculture lessons aligned with the CBC curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and instructional resources.
• Organize and supervise practical agricultural activities and demonstrations.
• Manage school agricultural projects, gardens, and learning resources.
• Assess learner performance and maintain academic records.
• Promote environmental conservation and sustainable farming practices.
• Integrate practical, learner-centered teaching approaches into classroom instruction.
• Participate in co-curricular activities and school development initiatives.
• Maintain safety standards during practical lessons and field activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the School Administration.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Education with specialization in Agriculture or Agricultural Education.
• Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) training.
• Minimum of three (3) years' teaching experience.
• Knowledge of modern agricultural practices and practical instruction.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
